Auction Rules for Celebrate Bush on March 8, 2025

The Bush School

By bidding in the Auction, each bidder agrees to these auction rules:

No refunds or exchanges: All sales are final and there will be no exchanges or refunds unless otherwise noted. 

Items sold "as is": The Bush School has attempted to describe and catalog items correctly, but the school neither warrants nor represents and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance, or condition of the items. No statement made in the catalog or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability.

Expiration of certificates: Unless stated otherwise, all certificates for services expire one year from the date of the Auction. Use your service certificates within a year. 

Tax deductions: Talk to your tax advisor about possible deductions for amounts above fair market value. The value listed is the donor’s estimate of fair market value. Items have not been appraised unless so noted. The amount you pay above this fair market value estimate may be tax deductible as a charitable contribution. 

Receipts: An event statement with any in-kind donations, cash donations, registration, and auction purchases will be emailed after the event. We will use the email address entered when you register for your event ticket or set up your online bid account. If you donate an item to the auction or make a cash donation, The Bush School will email a receipt confirmation.

Payment: We will charge purchased items to the credit card you entered into the Greater Giving auction system. The Bush School will also accept other methods of payment if arranged by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025.

Redeeming Winning Items: 

 Winners will be receiving a communication after the event with information about either redeeming or picking up items at The Bush School. 

 Physical items can be picked up at The Bush School Taylor Hall Development Office. You may pick them up anytime within 30 days. After 30 days, without any prior arrangement, they will become property of The Bush School.

Auction Items: The Bush School reserves the right, without notice, to add items to or withdraw items from the Auction.

Acceptance of Risk: Each person bidding assumes all risks and hazards related to the Auction and items obtained at the Auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless The Bush School, any of its elected or appointed officials and representatives, and any volunteers connected with the Auction from any liability arising directly or indirectly from the Auction and items obtained at the Auction.
